Vallejo Pigments Dark Red Ochre – VAL73107
Vallejo Dark Red Ochre Pigment is part of a carefully curated range of natural earth and synthetic pigments selected for their permanence, excellent lightfastness, and ultra-fine milling. This smooth, consistent texture makes it easy to blend and apply across all types of models, dioramas, armor plates, terrain boards, and scenic bases.
Dark Red Ochre is ideal for recreating the rich tones of baked earth, oxidized surfaces, rust deposits, and the layered wear found on vehicles exposed to harsh environments. These pigments can be applied dry directly with a brush, thanks to their strong natural adherence, or fixed in place with Vallejo Thinner when building up dry mud, dust accumulation, or weathered terrain effects. When paired with Pigment Binder, the pigment can be sculpted into volumetric textures such as heavy dirt buildup, thick mud, or deep rust formations.
All tools can be cleaned with water, and the pigments are non-flammable and safe to use. Each pigment comes in a 35 ml pot with a secure childproof cap, with weight varying between 17–39 grams depending on pigment density.
