The development of the 6-pounder began in the late 1930s as the British Army anticipated the need for a more powerful anti-tank gun than the existing 2-pounder. The 6-pounder was introduced into service in 1941, just in time to see extensive action in the North African Campaign.
A model of the British six pounder anti tank gun. This replaced the lighter two pounder in the middle of the war and continued to see service for a further twenty years after the war.
The gun comes with three crew figures and accessories.
